As a quantity surveyor, you will be managing all the costs
of a building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to
the final figures. Working either for the client or the contractor, in an
office, or on-site, you will be involved from the start till its final
execution.
Your main goal is to minimize the project cost and enhance
value for money while achieving the standard and quality. This includes
ensuring statutory building regulations are met. You will have to prepare cost
estimates and even though the project is in progress, you will keep an eye on
any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show
